Support for couples who want to deepen their connection and repair their attachment.
Are you tired of feeling lonely in your own relationship?
When emotional distance and pain become the norm, it’s easy to feel like strangers living under the same roof. If you’re stuck in a painful, endless loop of the same arguments with zero resolution, you know exactly how exhausting and heartbreaking it is.
Have you forgotten why you and your partner are even together?
Even though you dread the emotional and financial cost of separation for your family, part of you almost feels relieved by the idea. Then, you avoid thinking about it and go on with the everyday life until the cycle repeats again.
Couples therapy may help your relationship get back on track.
Couples therapy is not just for relationships that are close to breaking down: it is a useful for any partnership looking to grow.

Couples Therapy Approach
My approach to couples therapy focuses entirely on the unique relationship dynamics between you and your partner. I provide a blame-free space where we look at the relationship as a system, helping you recognize the unwanted patterns and cycles that keep you feeling stuck.
To guide our work, I specialize in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), recognized by the American Psychological Association as the gold standard for relationship treatment. I also integrate proven, research-backed techniques from the Gottman Method to help couples successfully navigate distress and rebuild connection. If needed, I will use some of the techniques from approaches geared more toward individual therapy.
How the Systemic Approach Works
- Focus on the Cycle: Instead of asking who caused an argument, I’ll help you see how one partner’s reaction triggers the other’s response in a repeating loop.
- Removal of Blame: By treating the negative pattern as an external thing you are both caught in, the tension on the relationship decreases and your sense of safety increases.
- Shared Responsibility: Both partners learn how their own moves inadvertently feed the cycle, creating a path toward mutual change.
Benefits of Looking at the Relationship as a Whole
- Better Communication: You stop defending against personal attacks and start talking about the shared distress.
- Deeper Empathy: You begin to see the vulnerable feelings hiding underneath anger/aggression or withdrawal.
- Lasting Solutions: You fix the root pattern rather than just arguing about daily problems.
Couples Therapy Intensives
You know that your couple needs help and it’s starting to feel urgent to get your relationship on track, otherwise there will be a point of no return.
If you’re in this situation and you still have a glimmer of hope that you and your partner may find your way back to one another, then couples therapy intensives may help you, and help you fast.
Unlike traditional weekly therapy, there won’t be any stops and starts and an inevitable focus on specific conflicts of the week. Instead, you will take a deep dive into your relationship and experience the potential of months of therapy in 1-2 days.
Couples Intensive Therapy may be for you if:
- 50 minutes just isn’t enough: Standard sessions never offer enough time to express yourselves, feel heard, and arrive at concrete changes.
- Scheduling: Trying to sync your calendars every single week is exhausting and adds more stress than relief, making you lose all momentum between appointments.
- You need help right now: Living with this constant tension is unbearable. You need accelerated help, and you need it now.
- Intensives seem right for you: Even if you’ve never done therapy before, this fast-track format feels like the right fit for how you live and work.
- Ready to do the deep dive: You are both completely willing to roll up your sleeves and tackle the deep stuff over a single weekend.
- Investment in an accelerate process: You are able and prefer to pay the premium fees of weeks or months of couples therapy over a 1-2 day for the expected value of an accelerated process.
Intensives are not for every couple. An intensive is not for you if:
- There is an ongoing affair. However, it is possible to work on healing from an affair that has definitely ended.
- If you and your partner do not have the same goal for therapy: the success of your couple. An intensive is not the place to figure out whether you want your relationship to move forward. These questions can be addressed in short term weekly couples therapy.
- Heated emotions are welcome in therapy, but if you and your partner are not able to stay civil with one another, even in front of a third person in a professional setting, intensive couples therapy may do more harm than good.
- If there is active domestic violence, an intensive is not an option. Physical safety is necessary for any form of psychotherapy to be beneficial.
I invite you to book a free phone consultation if you’re unsure whether an intensive may be a good fit for your couple.
